[*] overtime Notes: One would have to say the surprise team of the year thus far is Penn. They have the best record overall and in the Ivy. Who would of thought it? This perennial doormat and confidence builder is...well...winning, including a 2-1 win over Dartmouth. Their three losses were against teams that have been in the top 10: Duke (3-1), North Carolina (9-0) and a team Harvard beat, Maryland (2-0). All of this explains why their game against Harvard this weekend is really big. If Penn wins at Ohiri, their lead over Harvard may be almost insurmountable. Harvard seems to be getting things together at the right time. Yale has been playing well. Dartmouth has 3 Ivy wins already, but still plays Harvard and Yale, each tough. Conclusion: Four teams have a shot at the title, but it's up to Harvard to defend what has been theirs for the past two years. |
