Dupuis' season in 1996 was phenomenal: with his twelve games he led the country in goals-against average (0.56) during the regular season, and was voted to the first All Ivy team.  He registered a .871 save percentage. He was also voted Academic All America. Dupuis saw limited action the year before, playing in four games. He was captain of his high school team, which was undefeated in his senior year.
