Game Report

The talent and skill gap between two teams has probably not been greater all season, yet all Harvard could muster was a 1-0 win over a slow, dull, lifeless Central Connecticut. Go figure.

But it's not like Harvard had a ton of chances that failed to turn into goals: they didn't. Devon Bingham's shot of the left post (and goalkeeper's fingers) in the first period (pass from Beth Zotter) was the nicest play of the day. Bingham and Naomi Miller were the life of the party today on this raw, cold fall afternoon. All three keepers saw action for Harvard, and they combined for zero saves.

Now it's Get Ready For Princeton time. There is a three-way tie for first place in the Ivy League (Harvard, Penn, and Dartmouth). But Princeton is very interested in making it a broader race. Dartmouth-Harvard is the following weekend, and that will be a great doubleheader, but this is no time for the women to look ahead, or it's over.
