Ohiri Field, Sept 19
Team records:
Game Report The Harvard women had played Columbia 11 times since their program began, were 10-0-1, and had no plans to change that tradition today on a beautiful fall afternoon. They did what they had to do to get the W, picking up the level of their game in the second half, mounting an oppressive attack that generated the one goal they needed. A Naomi Miller to Beth Zotter to Devon Bingham combination in the 70th minute is what did it for Harvard. The team totally dominated, as illustrated by their 26 shots to the Lions' 7. Jennifer Burney was in goal for Harvard almost the entire game, and combined with Anne Browning for the shutout. Harvard has a 22-game unbeaten streak in Ivy League competition. The record is held by Brown (24). Harvard's next three Ivy contests are Yale, Cornell, and Penn. Yale should be the toughest contest. It takes place next week at Yale: September 27th at noon. Their next game, though, is Sunday, against Colorado.
